The Speech of Head of Department
The Occupational Health and Industrial Medicine Department is interested in supplying the community with specialists in the field of workers’ health and assessment of risks to which they are exposed during practicing their work. This is through the Scientific Grants (Diploma – Master – Doctorate), Training, and the specific scientific consulting given by a group of faculty members.
The role of the department is not limited to Egyptian students; but, it is extended to include Arab Students from Sudan, Libya, Yemen, Jordon, Iraq ...etc., either through teaching or training.
Believing in the role of science in Community Service and Environmental Development, the role of Occupational Health and Air Pollution Research Unit (A Special Unit) was a link between the science and the application through tens of the scientific monthly consultations in the fields of industry, health and services sectors all over the country.
The work is achieved by assistance of a distinguished group of assistance demonstrators, demonstrators, chemists, technicians, and administrators committed towards promoting research and teaching.
Department Activities:
- Providing competitive academic programs (academic diplomas - professional diploma - masters - doctorates) that can prepare environmental cadres and leaders.
- Conducting scientific researches and supervising graduation projects and theses.
- Providing training programs for Egyptians, Arabs, and Africans.
- Providing environmental consultations to agencies, institutions, companies, and hospitals through its two special units (the Environmental health researches, studies and analysis unit and the Occupational Health and Air Pollution Research Unit).

- Occupational medical clinics.
- Occupational health and safety managements.
- Quality assurance managements.
In all Industrial, Health, Service, and Educational institutions.
